In January of 2017 Elton John together with lyricist Bernie Taupin put the open brief for three famous songs of theirs that never had a chance to become a music video.
I decided to participate for the great song “Rocket Man”. The main requisition was that it had to be the animation video, so I tried myself in the places unknown.
In my interpretation the song is about discovery, the adventure that changes and enriches you. This idea is told through the story of a lonely character – an artificial satellite, who wants to change his monotone life around earth, gets the chance to face the larger than life outer space and how this journey affects him and his view on the world.
